Today was a lovely, brisk, fall day. I went to pick up my new earmuffs at Free People, not even close to a thrifting experience, but once in awhile I truly believe you can splurge for an item that you love. I paired them with an urban outfitters high waisted mini skirt, opaque tights from forever 21, a sequin black sweater from express and knee high boots from steve madden. I explored the city streets with my boyfriend’s hand in one hand and a Skinny pumpkin spice latte in the other. We ended the night with a date night consisting of visiting the holiday booths in Union square, sipping apple cider and enjoying the changing of the seasons, each other’s company and the city we have made our own. Embrace your independence tumblies, explore new territory, trust your instincts.

A thrifting adventure for the soul.

Each piece I buy, I have to feel that I’m making a good investment. With this faux leopard print, light weight jacket, the minute I saw it in buffalo exchange, I had an instant connection to it. I felt that it was slightly out of my comfort zone, but for 10-12.00, a complete steal and a must have add to my closet. I paired it with a white tank, leggings and black combat boots. I also added a few pieces of funky jewelry. Less truly is more in this case.

Reinvent new combinations of what you already own. Improvise. Become more creative. Not because you have to, but because you want to. Evolution is the secret for the next step.
